CONTROLLABLE – PITCH PROPELLERS
Berg’s CP Propellers are developed for heavy-duty applications with a pitch
setting hydraulic servo cylinder in the hub. This CPP hub is the first hub
system in the shipping industry where the moisture content is continually
monitored. Each CP propeller hub has the following features for optimal
performance:
- Stiff hub body
- Largest bearing surface available for the propeller blades
- Finest propeller blade sealing system available
- Completely separated circulation oil lubrication system to continuously
  monitor the moisture content in the oil

TRANSVERSE THRUSTERS
Karl Senner, Inc. chooses Berg’s Transverse Thrusters
because of the advantages their system offers, including:

Maximum reliability   Modular design with bolted mounting

Berg offers two types of transverse thrusters – BFTT and BTT. Each features a
highly reliable electronic system and can be driven by electric motor or diesel
engine. All of Berg's products are built to the rigorous demands of major
classification standards.

Berg Transverse Thruster – type BFTT is a fixed pitch
propeller type thruster used when shaft speed is variable
and ease of reversing is important.

Berg Transverse Thruster System – type BTT is a controllable
pitch propeller normally used for constant shaft speed.

During installation of both the BFTT and BTT, the propeller unit with the
gear housing can be removed from the tunnel, which makes maintenance
and service easier and less time-consuming.
